Being Vegetarian in Orlando?
Can anyone recommend any nice places for a Vegetarian to dine in Orlando? I eat fish, but no meat, and I prefer to avoid eggs. I've found that most of the time when I travel its a real pain to find places to eat - especially places that also serve meat for my travelling partner.
Any recommendations very much appreciated! |

Re: Being Vegetarian in Orlando?
I can't really offer you any specific advice, but I can tell you that there is some vegetarian fare to be found in Walt Disney World as well as Orlando in general.
I've been doing a little research on this and I was surprised to find some information on this. There's even a book out entitled, Vegetarian Walt Disney World and Greater Orlando! |

Re: Being Vegetarian in Orlando?
This is excellent. Disney as well as Orlando has extensive resources for vegetarians. Who would have ever thought there would have been a book like that. The way this world diversifies becomes even more amazing each and every day. Just something one can kick back and keep watching as there will always be a new way of someone diversifying in today's world.

I agree Hypnotique. The way the world is diversifying is pretty amazing.
As for dining guides like this, it is also pretty astonishing. Traveling as a vegetarian, or with some other diet restrictions, can be very difficult and these types of books help. There are also increasingly good web sites with information for the vegetarian traveler. |

Re: Being Vegetarian in Orlando?
Wow, I'll look out for that book! That will be really really handy, thanks.
I was really worried I would spend more time wandering around desperately looking for somewhere to eat than I would enjoying myself. Or that I'd end up having to eat at places like Burger King or McDonalds, and end up feeling ill from stuffing that kind of fatty, salty junk in my face all holiday. It is gradually getting better, but I've usually found the bigger places to be the least accomodating. |
