1st timer

Hi all. Me and my kids are thinking about to visit Disneyworld for 4-5 days. Kids are 12 and 13 years of age and I'm a proud 42 year old father. We are from Sweden and have never been in Florida before. I have only been in New York one time before. We plan to visit in September. Is it a bad month, consider to the weather? If so, when is the best month to visit at the fall? What is the cheapest way to stay? We are open to all options. Where can I find good and easy info about a stay and a visit at Disneyworld? Do they send info to me in Sweden?
/Peter

Re: 1st timer

Hi Peter how you doing. The weather is September is still quite warm and you do get a fair bit of rain, but it's a nice time of year to go. Labor Day is the 1st of September so that weekend will be busy, but after that the crowds should die down a little. BTW, the rain drops off in October so you may want to consider that instead.

Are you looking for advice on staying on Disney property or any old hotel? This may help you decide if it's worth staying in a disney hotel. Disney Resort Hotels Information

Re: 1st timer

Thank you. It looks like it's best to visit New York last week in September and Disneyworld first week of october.? It seems to be the safest way to stay at a Disney property but the cost might be alittle bit higher. We don't mind to stay at a cheap hostel or private rooms, as long the cost is low. It's only a place to stay at night and to have our belongings. Any proposal other than Disney Resort?

Re: 1st timer

There's loads of budget chains around Orlando such as Comfort, Clarion. Most hotel rooms have a safe where you can stash your passports etc.

If you're looking to stat near Disney, look for hotels in Lake Buena Vista, otherwise I-Drive is an alternative.

Re: 1st timer

Thank you for all help.
One thing I can't figgure out is the price into Disney World Parks. If I want to buy a Magic your way ticket the price start at $30 a day but when I punch in 4 days for me and 2 kids (over 10 years) I get a very high price, $636. Whats the cost for us 3 persons for 4 days? Please help me out.

Re: 1st timer

The gate price for a three day entry ticket into a park is around $225 at the moment. So the price you were quoted sounds about right.

I'm not sure how you got $30.

Do you have any disney ticket brokers in Sweden. Usually buying the tickets from a broker is marginally cheaper than the gate price.

Re: 1st timer

I havn't found any broker in sweden yet. Are all the rides for free inside the parks? Is there any attraction they charge extra?

Re: 1st timer

You don't have to pay extra for the attractions.

If you want to get your tickets in advance I know that the company below ships to the UK, you could email and ask about shipping to Sweden.

Disney World Tickets, Orlando Dinner Shows and other Orlando area discount tickets
