Re: The Test Track At Epcot

Hey that looks like a pretty cool ride. I noticed the sign at the beginning that had GM on it for General Motors.

I noticed in the video that there is a enactment of a crash in to a wall. This looks like one made for the Crash Test Dummies.

Looks like some pretty sharp curves are involved in the ride. I wonder if the sound effects are just for the video purposes or if the ride really gives out sounds of an engine.

Pretty cool looking ride there.

Test track is really fun and probably my favourite ride at EPCOT.

And yep it sounds like a real revving car on the way round. Unfortunately it was closed for re-furbishment on my last visit.

It's nice to see they take care of their rides though. This is what makes amusement parks everywhere better than what they were before. The sound effects make it even better to want to ride. It definitely looks like an experience of a lifetime for one who rides it.

The test track definitely looks like a great ride. Like Hypnotique mentions, it's also good to see they're taking care of their rides by occasionally taking them down for a refurbishment.

Is there anywhere to see which rides might be down for repair at a particular time?

I think quinda has answered your question in this thread. Safety Of Rides at Orlando Disney Theme Parks

It is definitely a relief to know that they take priority consideration as stated before. I can't wait to try out The Test Track, I know I will enjoy it and might want to make a return visit to this remarkable ride.

Re: The Test Track At Epcot

Ooh, that looks fun I'd like to do a proper race round a track in a real car, but I wouldn't be able to do that on the trip I'd like to take soon, so I might give this a look if its open when I go.

For people who have been on it, how fast does it feel? It sounds fun, but 60MPH doesn't really sound that fast?

Wow, looks very cool!

60 MPH seems pretty fast since most of the cars don't go more than 30 or so.
