Photopass CD - will I get enough pictures?

I'm considering pre-purchasing the photopass CD for $99. However, on previous trips we've only managed to get our picture taken maybe half a dozen times. I plan to look out for the Disney photographers this time around but I'm still wondering if we'll get enough photos without really working at it to make it worthwhile.

My Husband and I purchased this photo package on our last trip in January, and would definately purchase another one, theres far more photographers in the parks now in various locations than there ever has been. Plus you dont get many people walking in front of you when you just manage to get the Tree of Life behind your group, or pusher-inners. Plus some of the rides have facilities to put your ride photo on the card without charge. We had 156 photos on ours and there's plenty of room for another 156, try it.

HI! I'm new to all of this and I would like to know what a photopass is. I'm going to WDW in 2009 with 3 liitle ones and I'm looking into every detail. I would greatly appreciate any help. Does this mean I wouldn't have to cart around my camera?

Basically when you enter the park look for a PhotoPass Cast Members. They all wear the same uniform of a khaki waistcoat, white shirt and blue trousers or shorts.

When they take your photo they'll give you a plastic photopass card. You can then use this card at the photo centers around the parks to view the photos taken. Whenever you get a photo taken by the cast member give them the card and they'll add the photos to your collection.

What you can then do is order prints of those photos. The rub is they're about $15 or so for each photo, so if you have loads of official photos taken (gailE got 156), you may want to buy the photocd.

Disney's photocd may seem expensive at $99, but you get a cd full of your photos, you can then print them at home or whatever.
