You'll be fine. Regardless at what time you visit Orlando, just be prepared. Know what you want to do prior to park opening and arrive before the gates open.

Have a great time.

Re: Off Peak / Quiet times at Orlando Disney?

Hye Guys,
This is a widely discussed topic from people around the world. There's quite a few factors that contribute towards the "best time" to visit Orlando.

Generally these 2 factors play an important role:
- As mentioned above; the U.S school terms and holiday periods.
- The Weather Conditions.

Obviously thousands of Americans visit Orlando during their school and public holiday periods. The parks get flooded by holiday makers. Because of this, they usually stay open for longer, have all their attractions open (no refurbishments), they have extra shows / show times and performances to handle the larger crowd. During these times there are fewer hotels and "special deals" available. Some parents even take their kids out of school for the week before and/or after a holiday period. Ride / attraction queue’s are insanely long, especially in the summer. In the contrary, the parks are less crowded during school terms and non-public holiday periods. But during these quieter times the parks usually do refurbishments and upgrades and certain attractions might be closed. Theme park operating hours are less than the busier times as well. Keep in mind the international demand. The UK is certainly a recognizable factor in park traffic, as thousands of UK visitors enjoy Orlando on a regular bases.

If you don't have the problem of having to conform to the American school and public holiday periods, then I would recommend the following times:

1. Beginning of May (First 3 weeks).
Personally, I believe that this is the BEST time to visit Orlando and all of its attractions, and here's why:
- American kids are in school, and there are no US public holidays during this period.
- The weather is absolutely fantastic! It’s generally around 90°F. That’s nice and warm to have sunny days around the water parks, but not as deadly as the more humid summer heat from July to August. This is out of Hurricane season and the rainfall is very low during this time with only 3.0%. All the flowers are in full bloom, and a must see at Disney's EPCOT.
- Usually new rides and attractions get added to the parks in this time, in order for them to run smoothly by the time the vast crowd appears for their summer holiday.

2. Another great time to visit Orlando is from mid October through November.
- American kids are in school, and there are no US public holidays during this period.
- The weather is very pleasant, and only starts getting a bit colder from mid November. Temperatures are around 80°F. This however is at the end of the Hurricane season, but it should not scare you off (leave that for Halloween), especially if your only planning to visit Orlando as it is not as much effected by hurricanes as the coastal regions. Hotels tend to be quite cheap for the first 2 weeks of November as well as international flights into Orlando.

3. Mid January to mid February.
Theoretically, this is winter time. Yes, it does get kind of cold in Orlando sometimes.... but if the cooler weather isn’t a decisive factor to you then this period will be great. The winter in Orlando is still very pleasant and the cooler atmosphere is generally in the early mornings and after sunset, the days however are very pleasant. Many older travelers choose this time to come to Orlando as the infamous Florida heat and humidity is not an issue. All the water parks are open during this time too, and the water is temperature controlled.
Hotels are generally cheaper during this time, especially around the International Drive South and Convention Centre area, as there are not allot of big business/conventions taking place during this time.

Please feel free to ask me anything more specific
- Kind Regards
