Off Peak / Quiet times at Orlando Disney?

I hate crowds and queues, so I figure it is best to avoid visiting WDW on school holidays, and most likely the week either side (since I know many people who think the same way I do and take their kids out of school early / send them back late) - but is it ever actually quiet at WDW?

If I visited the park in the middle of a school term, would there still be a high density of kids?

Can anyone recommend the 'quietest' time of year?

Re: Off Peak / Quiet times at Orlando Disney?

I have been in October 3 times now (end of October) and most queues are very small (Even Tower Of Terror at the Studios was a walk on during weekdays)

Although I come from very far (Belgium) we are lucky enough to have a holiday week (from school) during the last October week. However I do take my son out of school for a couple of days so we save on airfare and have a couple of extra days.

Thanks for the advice - October sounds perfect Assuming we can get good airfair around that time I'll try then. I was expecting October to be busy because there is a UK school holiday around then too and Florida is a popular destination for people holidaying around then.

Sounds like building another type of theme park in Disney would be a good idea. The Over 25 Years Old Theme Park.

Restrictions of course, you'd have to be over 25 years of age.

They could put a mini Disney inside for the grownups to enjoy.

Crazy idea I know, but it never hurts to pamper a particular crowd.

Thats a decent idea actually Although I think a lot of parents wouldn't appreciate it - unless they did some form of chaperoned thing where the kids went to 'kids' disneyland and the adults went to adult Disney so they could relax and not have to stress about the kids for a while.

I wonder if they would ever do that...

How was Halloween at Disney? I've never been in October, although I've been just before Christmas a couple of times. It's really good because all the parks are decked out in the decorations. Also the queues are short. I really like "A very merry Grinchmas" at Islands of Adventure. Seuss landings is also really nice with all the crooked christmas trees.

The best time of year is when it is cold. No one really likes to go on rides when it is near freezing. And yes, if it is a school day, there would be less kids. However, you must know that there are also numerous field trips and whatnot to Disney World, and kids skipping, so it wouldn't be like you wouldn't see any kids there. I would say September to November is a great time.

So true... I went to Magic Kingdom during a quiet time. The park was full of cheerleader groups.

Yea, the best time would do it would be the days when it would be very unpopular to go like in times where no one is off school and that kind of stuff.

Hey, folks thank a lot I also want to visit some of these places and I was feeling embarrassment to think about such rush as we usually see in school holidays. Now I got advice from all of you. Thanks again
