Hi,
I'll be going to the Magic Kingdom for the first time in May. Just wondering what I should be prepared for before I go.
Thanks....

Re: Magic Kingdom First Timer
Hi Minstrel nice to see you at Orlando Visiting. Who's travelling in your party, as this will probably dictate on which parts of the Magic Kingdom you visit first?

Re: Magic Kingdom First Timer
Travelling with kids aged four and two I'd have thought you'd be looking to head straight towards Fantasyland. This is where most of the younger child attractions are. When I visit Magic Kingdom I tend to get a fast pass for "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", and then ride "Dumbo The Flying Elephant" and "Peter Pan's Flight".
A tip you'll often here when visiting the parks, is to make sure you get there prior to the gates opening so as to get a head start. |

Re: Magic Kingdom First Timer
I agree with the tip on getting there before the gates open, I have been to other large parks and just about wondered why I waited so late. A head start is definitely reccomended at whichever park you decide to go to. Unless of course, it is a very small one that doesn't get many visitors, which I don't find myself going to.

Re: Magic Kingdom First Timer
These are great ideas. Does the fast pass let you in the park before it lets the rest of the park visitors in? I mean, does the fast pass area of the park open prior to the rest of the park?
I know it must have been a pain in the neck for my parents to do the amusement parks for me and my sister, with one of us hating rides and the other loving them. Ha, you dont think of those things when you're young, do you? ![]() |

Re: Magic Kingdom First Timer
I bet that'll be fun but like what was mentioned you may want to go ahead and purchase a fast pass. I would to get out of the lines and into the theme park so you don't have to wait.
