Finding Museums in Orlando

We are planning a trip to Florida around the Thanksgiving week and I would like to know of some good museums available for visiting that are on the subject of Orlando's History.

They do not have to be exactly in Orlando but in the surrounding area is fine. I prefer a less conjested area if possible.

Some of our interests include early settlers, war memorabilia, and antique school furniture.

War memorabilia is especially a deep passion of mine. I love seeing that kind of stuff. Especially since all of my family is military and I'm one of the only ones that isn't. World War II memorabilia is the deepest interest for me as that is the war that my grandfather was in.

Well that very interesting, I have to say that museums really aren't my thing so I hardly visit them.

Re: Finding Museums in Orlando

I once visited this museum where everything was like live like and like to represent pre-historic they had moving animals, scenes and skits going on to help represent and tell stuff. It was a neat way to learn but other than that hardly will I got to museums just because they don't interest me all that much.
