Watching a Shuttle Launch at Kennedy Space Center

I've been looking at the NASA website and it looks like there may be a shuttle launch going ahead whilst we are in Orlando in April. I see you can buy your tickets in advance. Has anyone done this?

Re: Watching a Shuttle Launch at Kennedy Space Center

A shuttle launch is a truly awe-inspiring sight, and if you get the chance to see a launch I'd definitely go for it.

The problem is usually scheduling. Due to weather and technical difficulties, the launch dates usually change.

Here's a link to the schedule.

NASA - NASA's Shuttle and Rocket Missions

I see the date your looking at is marked as tentative at the moment, so I'd hold off for now. Also, the tickets are non-refundable, so if the shuttle launch is cancelled then you'll lose the cost of the ticket.

You can buy the shuttle launch tickets online at the following link:

Kennedy Space Center Ticket Store- Admission, Launch Viewing & Astronaut Training Experience (ATX)

Some more info on the best place to view a shuttle launch if you don't have a ticket:
