How has Orlando Changed?
I'd be interested to hear from a recent visitor (or someone living in Orlando) how Orlando has changed in the last five or so years?
Does the city continue to rapidly grow, or has it reached its peak? I know there are some vacation spots that once you been there you've kind of seen it all, while others (like Las Vegas I guess) are growing so fast they're always changing. Is Orlando like this as well? Is there something new to see each visit? |

Re: How has Orlando Changed?
I can only answer from a tourist perspective, but certainly the parks change. Old rides get dropped and new one's appear in their place. King Kong was there on my first visit and was replaced with The Mummy, Animal Kingdom got Avalance, Magic Kingdom got Philarmagic.
Also, I notice the villa communities spreading out further all the time. |

Re: How has Orlando Changed?
I'm sure it probably has doubled in what they have to offer since the last time I visited. My visit was pre Epcot and just look at all the things that have sprouted up since then.
Being that I was a child when I last attended Orlando, the growth will probably have no impact on me. It was huge to me then, but things always seem bigger to us when we are young. Orlando's growth will probably somehow match my growth and when I visit there later in the month, I'll still be full of amazement, just like before ![]() |
