Shopping Malls in Orlando
Could anyone give me some pointers as to good malls in Orlando please?
I have been looking around, and I've heard some good things about Pointe Orlando, but it looks rather small: Pointe Orlando in Florida :: What's your Point? Are there any bigger malls around, that you could 'make a day of' or is it the case that you would need to hop from mall to mall to fill a day shopping? Thanks. |

Re: Shopping Malls in Orlando
Belz is pretty big in Orlando. At the top end of I-Drive they have the outlet stores (Nike, Timberland etc). There is also Festival Bay up there with the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Cinemark Theaters, Vans Skatepark, Sheplers Western Wear, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear and Ron Jon Surf Shop.
A bit more upmarket is the Mall at the Millenia. This has the likes of the Apple Store, LaCoste and department stores such as Macy's. |

Re: Shopping Malls in Orlando
Thanks for the response spondishy - I'll add those to the list to check out.
The one thing that suprised me when I was in LA was that there were a number of malls with HUGE department stores, but only really a couple of different stores in them. Where I live in the UK I'm within reasonable distance of three malls that have a LOT (and I mean a LOT) more different shops in them than any mall I saw in LA. The stores are smaller than many American ones, but the malls themselves are a lot bigger. Maybe I just live in an unusual place though - even Malls in London seem small by comparison. |

Re: Shopping Malls in Orlando
I live in kent so have easy acces to Bluewater and Lakeside and they are far better than the malls in The states although not cheaper but the outlet stores over there are EVEN cheaper still!! People who worked in the Florida Mall told me to go to the outlet stores. Check out the one by Dixie stampede its great stuff!!!!
