Disney Dining Plan
I was wondering if someone could explain this to me. I have read some information in our brochure but I'm really not clear on how it works. Do you put so much money on a card and you spend it until it's gone? In the brouchure it mentions 2 meal and a snack per night, does this mean you have use it for breakfast or lunch or dinner? Sorry for the ramble

Re: Disney Dining Plan
Yep... The Disney Dining Plan is certainly a complex beast. As you've said, with the plan you get one table service meal, one counter service meal and one snack. Whether or not you use these for breakfast, or dinner is up to you.
I'm assuming your brochure will charge a daily rate for the dining plan. So say you pay for 7 days on the Disney Dining plan, you can use them up at any time during your stay. So in theory you could have two counter service meals one day and none the next. The cost in the US this is around $38 per adult. This is non-refundable, so if you don't plan on eating at Disney Restaurant's all the time, then you'll probably lose out. Also, to confuse things even further, you can exchange credits. For example at the moment two table service credits can be exchanged for a character meal. I should do a full page on the Disney Dining Plan, but in the meantime have a look at Magic Your Way Dining Plan - 2008 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages. That has all the participating restaurants as well. |
