Wildnerness Lodge - Great Visit
If you are looking for a good resort to stay in, I'm going to reccomend the Wilderness Lodge. I have a friend who used to work there for a few months, I would go up there with her on her days off and we would just lounge around.
This place has a number of excellent pools, some killer walkways that take you right through the foliage, and some of the best rooms available. I absolutely loved the theme of this place too. Check out some of the pictures here. Walt Disney World Resorts | Walt Disney World Hotels It looks like a HUMONGOUS log cabin. It's stunning in every way. Disney is excellent at making the simple things bigger than life. They did it yet again with thie resort, absolutely gorgeous! |

Re: Wildnerness Lodge - Great Visit
I must admit I've stopped at the Wilderness Lodge and thought it was a great resort. I would definitely recommend trying it. It's in an excellent location for getting to the Magic Kingdom Great and the resort itself has a beautiful theme and a good swimming pool area.

Re: Wildnerness Lodge - Great Visit
Thanks scheda for the recommendation. From the link you provided, it looks like a nice place to stay. It looks like they took it right out of the forest from the Northwest. The geyser seems like a nice touch.
Some of the other resorts on that page look pretty incredible as well. |

Thanks for sharing this resort with everyone. It looks like an excellent place to stay by the pictures that they provided. It looks like a very relaxing setting as well for those who enjoy the wilderness. I will be looking at some of the other resorts as well.

Re: Wildnerness Lodge - Great Visit
A log cabin sounds like a wonderful place to stay. I love nature. Even though Orlando is a warm climate, I wonder if they have installed fire places in to the decor of their rooms. A cabin wouldn't seem complete without a pretty fireplace. Don't forget the imitation bear skin rugs. Maybe I'm being too old fashioned but it does sound pretty.
Thanks for this information. |

Re: Wildnerness Lodge - Great Visit
I had a look at that link - all the resorts look really really nice - traditional homliness and a taste of the countryside, but with all the luxuries you would expect.
I agree you should have the bear skin rug and a log fire - even if it is just a fake one it would really add to the atmosphere ![]() |
