Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Magic Kingdom is the original Disney World theme park, opened in 1971 it covers 107 acres. The Kingdom is divided into six “lands” that surround the enchanting Cinderella’s Castle that stands proudly at the center of the theme park. Quite often the Magic Kingdom is the first Disney theme park visitors experience, it’s true that many repeat visitors to Orlando don’t feel that their vacation has started until they’ve returned to the Magic Kingdom.

Although the park has had new rides and attractions over the years, rides such as Dumbo, The Madhatters Tea Party and The Haunted Mansion have been with us since the very beginning. Proving that the Magic Kingdom is indeed a timeless classic.

As you head into the Magic Kingdom you’ll see the castle directly ahead of you if you walk directly down Main Street USA and head clockwise around the park, you’ll visit the lands in the following order.

Fantasyland

Fantasyland - Classic Disney characters are abound in Fantasyland, represented by Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella. A ‘must visit’ area of the park for the young.
